Two minutes is the goal for a 40-year-old man.
The evidence is convergent. Multiple independent sources reach the same conclusion, the underlying mechanism is well-characterized, and even the field's most cautious voices treat it as worth doing.

Every Sunday: the week’s new conflicts and verdict changes — and nothing else.
Native comments, Twitter mentions, and Reddit threads about this claim — surfaced together so the conversation isn't fragmented across platforms.
Bookmarking — the dossier-vs-overview split is the right call. Most of the time I want overview; sometimes I want receipts.
Would love a "what would change this verdict" RSS feed. Sign me up if it exists.
I think we have a minute and a half is the goal for a 40-year-old woman.
And you want to hang, and this is a simple time test. So in general, we should be able to hang for a minimum of 30 seconds is what we're looking for.
30 to 50 seconds is my good, but we could probably get better here. If you're cruising above 60 seconds, I'm generally pretty happy.
we would say a man in his 40s we'd want to see two minutes of dead hang for a woman a minute and a half
and again you would discount that um as time goes by decade and and probably subtract about uh 10 seconds per decade
again I think here a standard would be for a you know a very strong 40-year-old male uh should be able to dead hang for at least 2 minutes
and a very strong 40-year-old female should be able to dead hang for at least 90 seconds
