So you would do that in addition to using some sort of velocity transducer on a barbell. So a very classic thing to do would be, let's say, you're going to do a squat. And you're going to put this device on the barbell, and that's going to measure the speed at which the barbell moves. And you're going to do that at 40% of your one repetition max, 50%, 60%, 70%, 80%, 90%, up to 100%. And that allows you to create what's called a force-velocity curve. And you can start to see at what point, when you start loading things heavy, do you start slowing down too much. And that will tell you what part of the force-velocity curve that you want to train in to optimize your power.
