I sort of decided you know what maybe the deadlift has reached its point of futility and maybe I've extracted all I'm going to out of that and there's no denying what a wonderful movement it is I'm in terms of being a total hip hinge compound movement but I was like look I could probably get most of the benefits of a deadlift doing things that place me under less load and also again in the spirit of thinking about longevity
