Now, it's important to remember the hypertrophy episode. Doing sets of, say, 15-plus repetitions per set is as effective as doing sets of five to 10 or 12 for hypertrophy-- gaining muscle. It's not effective though for strength gains.
doing resistance training and repetition ranges of 5-15 reps per set, provided it's done at sufficient intensity, so either to failure or close to failure, of course, in good form is tremendously beneficial.
