the meat is going to come with compounds like carnitine carnosine we can talk about taurine separately that have intrinsic quote-unquote antioxidant ability i mean that have the ability to sort of like i guess what i'm driving at here is do you think there are actual compounds in the meat and i want to talk about the phytochemicals in meat separately but do you think there are actual compounds in the meat that could that could also be playing a role here that could be valuable and it could be the case and we do know and uh we don't know as much about the pathways yet but things like anserine and uh taurine uh carnosine these can all be potential uh i can play potential antioxidant roles like systimian is precursor to glutathione which is a main intracellular antioxidant uh taurine and again here we need into isolated compounds again unfortunately to study so we don't know how getting those into a meat matrix uh impacts neurocognitive function randomized controlled trials especially in older adult combination of anserine and carnosine or taurine can have neurocognitive effects
