i don't think we can prove that apob containing particles which is mostly ldl but isil includes things like kylo microns etc are directly injurious to the endothelium and i think that details matter here because if you're saying ldl causes atherosclerosis you have to prove to me that ldl injures the endothelium and is enough on its own to cause it and i don't think that's true

the foundational question is do we believe that low density of a protein a spherical molecule that carries triglycerides and cholesterol is inherently atherogenic or damaging to the endothelium the inside of an artery i believe the answer is no but many would disagree with me and we need many more of those debates
