so this study noticed that if you give these elderly people I think what's the equivalent about six grams of glycine daily and since gelatin is about 40 glycine that was basically 12 to 15 grams of gelatin equivalent uh it restoring immediately the basically the the anabolic effect of protein in the muscles of these old people so and and when they look at the biomarkers it it kind of looks like that the reason we're not consuming we're not we're not that sensitive to protein as we get as we get older is because the chronic inflammation is higher um and and the consumption of glycine lowered the number of different biomarkers um that are known actually to be associated with muscle breakdowns which is specifically tumor necrosis Factor Alpha
