Exercise seems to really be a good treatment for mild depression and it may work through the mechanism you're describing, right? As we all know, you know, athletes hold a lower resting heart rate than folks that aren't, you know, if you were an athlete, you had a lower resting heart rate, you stopped exercising, and a couple years later your resting heart rate in many cases goes up, right? And so maybe that's part of the process.
