The harder and longer we go in the training session, the harder and longer we go in our down-regulation post-exercise. And that is, in my estimation, the number one lever you can pull that can help.
So the higher the intensity of the exercise the longer duration. So they use this um metric called strain which is basically intensity and duration combined and they call that strain. So maximal strain had a bigger impact on your sleep the closer it was to your bedtime as compared to like light strain for example.
