the reference range is a 16 plus which is an absurdity a travesty and if there's any reference range in modern medicine that needs to change it's that one
We can't find evidence that holds up here. Proponents are reasoning from mechanism or analogy rather than direct human data, and the most credible skeptics raise objections we can't dismiss.

Every Sunday: the week’s new conflicts and verdict changes — and nothing else.
Native comments, Twitter mentions, and Reddit threads about this claim — surfaced together so the conversation isn't fragmented across platforms.
Bookmarking — the dossier-vs-overview split is the right call. Most of the time I want overview; sometimes I want receipts.

9 micro iu per ml is again about the average for the american population and i feel that's inappropriate yet probably 98 99 of physicians would look at that and say it's within the reference range it's fine we're not going to worry about it
fasting insulin levels are average around eight to nine in the general american population which is much too high in my opinion
the fasting insulin reference range is probably one of the most like incredibly uh wrong things in western medicine in terms of reference ranges
the normal range for fasting insulin goes up to 24 for many in for many labs or 16 which is massively disordered
if a doctor did do a fasting insulin they wouldn't even flag it they'd say you're in the middle of the range your fasting insulin is 14 yeah that's ridiculous
The reference range for fasting insulin is like it goes up to 22 or 26 micro IU per ml that's wild dude ... The fact that the healthy range goes to 22 and your your doctor won't flag that until you're at 22 is nuts man this is in my mind as a doctor's perspective on Western medicine this is one of our biggest blind spots
if a doctor did do a fasting insulin they wouldn't even flag it they'd say you're in the middle of the range you're fting is 14 yeah that's ridiculous
The reference range for fasting insulin is like it goes up to 22 or 26 micro IU per ml that's wild dude everyone you and I bet do you know you're fasting insulin at the moment no no every time I check mine it's three it's three you know so like everyone I know that's healthy is less than five the fact that the healthy range goes to 22 and your your doctor won't flag that until you're at 22 is nuts man
