Now, we get the opportunity to interact with those people in different contexts and so indeed we do get the opportunity to see them, for instance, at the coffee shop, how they order coffee. You maybe go to a sports event, how they act there. Maybe how they interact with your family. You're getting a sense of them in different contexts. That's certainly playing a role, but it seems as if the more novelty you experience with somebody, not only the more familiar they are to you, but the more time you feel you've spent with them, even though the total amount of time can be exactly the same.
