We can't find evidence that holds up here. Proponents are reasoning from mechanism or analogy rather than direct human data, and the most credible skeptics raise objections we can't dismiss.
However, in my opinion, this argument comes up a lot. It's not the best argument, because it depends on the scale of how you look at things we experience. We meet, for example, I'm not saying that this is inherited, but in humans, but we experience the same pathogens and the same viruses all the time. So perhaps it is worth preparing for that.
