if you look at the diets of any one of those places except Loma Linda they actually eat a pretty substantial amount of meat
The evidence is convergent. Multiple independent sources reach the same conclusion, the underlying mechanism is well-characterized, and even the field's most cautious voices treat it as worth doing.

Every Sunday: the week’s new conflicts and verdict changes — and nothing else.
Native comments, Twitter mentions, and Reddit threads about this claim — surfaced together so the conversation isn't fragmented across platforms.
Bookmarking — the dossier-vs-overview split is the right call. Most of the time I want overview; sometimes I want receipts.
Would love a "what would change this verdict" RSS feed. Sign me up if it exists.
if you read this paper they do not eat less meat than the general greek population in fact they eat more meat i had a woman on my show named mary ruddock who lives in greece who spent time with the people in ikoria and ate lamb liver with them they do not shun meat
if you look at places like icaria i talked about this with mary roddick on the podcast or sardinia they eat tons of meat and animal products these are blue zones
determinants of all cause mortality and incidence of cardiovascular disease 2009 to 2013 and older adults this is the icharia of the blue zone study if you look at the study you can look at what they eat clearly they eat meat in korea
if you look at the five blue zones which are essentially cherry picked regions of the globe by dan buettner ickeria in greece sardinia and italy okinawa in japan loma linda in california and the nikoi region of costa rica where i happen to live right now in the koi region of costa rica four out of those five regions of the world red meat is treasured and eaten with zeal
again they'd love to say it in the in the freaking abstract they talk about the blue zones they tout this percentage and then they talk about the fact that um there is meat eaten as part of these diets all over the place
again a lot of the diet in these places includes meat but i wonder what we could do in these places how much seed oil is consumed in these places i bet it's a vanishingly small amount or a significantly smaller amount
Sardinia in Italy icaria and Greece are both places where people are well known to eat a lot of meat there is a dish from Sardinia called sarda Pig which is famous and inicaria they eat a ton of meat
if you look at these blue zones in four out of the five blue zones Sardinia icaria nikoya and Okinawa significant amounts of meat are eaten this is not even able to be debated and meat forms the center of their culture there are traditional dishes in all of these places that are centered around celebration of meat and organs
I've seen research on iara showing they eat tons of meat
