I think that a lot of magnesium deficiency on carnivore and ketogenic diets may be due to sodium inadequacy one of the things I've been speaking a lot about on my social media recently is encouraging people to get enough sodium or salt in their diet I've spoken about the fact that when we transition to a ketogenic diet or a carnivore diet we are going to waste more salt and if we do not give our body enough sodium then the body is going to increase the cortisol and other other hormones to hold on to sodium in the body it creates things that we don't want to happen in the body it can affect other hormones and it can lead to magnesium wasting as well
