in the in glucose glucose activates the tas1 R3 which is a sweet taste receptor then the glucose is absorbed by some of the sodium glucose Transporters which are active Transporters and these Transporters uh depolarize the cell and then once glucose gets inside of the cell glucose enters the TCA cycle is catabolized and then produces ATP and the ATP further activates another uh voltage gated Channel further depolarizing the cell and then the cell releases in turn a transmitter for instance glutamate that very rapidly tells the vus nerve within milliseconds
