According to @CharlesMBrenner a world expert on NR, supplements like NR made by @truniagen are better than NMN.
The evidence is convergent. Multiple independent sources reach the same conclusion, the underlying mechanism is well-characterized, and even the field's most cautious voices treat it as worth doing.

Every Sunday: the week’s new conflicts and verdict changes — and nothing else.
Native comments, Twitter mentions, and Reddit threads about this claim — surfaced together so the conversation isn't fragmented across platforms.
Bookmarking — the dossier-vs-overview split is the right call. Most of the time I want overview; sometimes I want receipts.

It was already known that treatment of mice with NAD precursors also improves age-related sarcopenia and muscle performance. Two NAD precursors are NR and NMN, both of which have shown promise in human clinical trials
Both NR and NMN benefit the health of elderly mice and show no negative health effects, even in long-term experiments.
Which stands for nicotinamide riboside. So that's the vitamin B3 plus the sugar. Without the N part, which is a phosphate, we'll get to the phosphate, that's important later. It may make a difference, but NR has been taken over the counter or through websites for, what, since 2014, either solely just as a capsule or there's some companies that sell it in combination with other molecules. - And because it's been pretty well studied in humans, there've been plenty of human studies, at least in the short term that show little to no side effects. This is a pretty safe molecule.
so NR is nicotine my driver-side it looks actually chemically similar to how DNA is made interestingly it's what the rover side means nicotinamide is vitamin b3 so it's partly a vitamin b3 partly a piece of DNA so that is a molecule that cells suck up through a transporter it's well understood they stick on a phosphate it becomes n MN nicotinamide mononucleotide and then the cells turn that into nad
the two of which get talked about the most are nicotinamide riboside and nr that was kind of the first to uh to gain popularity and then nicotinamide mononucleotide nmn both of those are precursors of nad that within cells can be converted into nad and so you know there's there's a there's a large body of literature uh in a variety of model organisms showing that treatment with na nr or nmn sometimes leads to benefits that are associated with healthy aging and in one study uh lifespan extension in mice
these molecules called nad precursors or nad boosters the two of which get talked about the most are nicotinamide riboside and nr that was kind of the first to uh to gain popularity and then nicotinamide mononucleotide nmn both of those are precursors of nad that within cells can be converted into nad

the scientist who discovered nicotinamide riboside
Well, both nicotinamide riboside and nicotinamide mononucleotide have been shown to do that in animal studies, right?
both nicotinamide right beside and nicotinamide mononucleotide are found in low concentrations in many foods but they are also found in supplements and are referred to as nad boosters so let's talk nad boosters these two nad precursors nicotinamide right beside and nicotinamide mononucleotide are referred to as nad boosters because in supplement form they have been shown to be well tolerated at high doses and to effectively raise nad levels and to ameliorate age associated diseases in rodents
dr. Anna Patrick here today I'm going to discuss a molecule that in recent years has become very relevant to the field of aging specifically I'm referring to nad and it's related precursor molecules nicotinamide right aside and nicotinamide mononucleotide often referred to as nad boosters which can both be found as consumer available supplements
the NAD boosters nicotinamide right aside and nicotinamide mononucleotide at very high doses in animal studies have been shown to improve the way multiple tissues and cell types age including the heart and skeletal muscle the brain and stem cells
