and diet certainly makes a difference as we're talking about with this telogen effluvium and this nutrient deficiency and i think a great way to get nutrient deficiency as you suggest is to um to to not include many animal foods in your diet and that could accelerate the process
and i think as we've talked about and i've talked about multiple times in this podcast anytime we're doing a quote restricted diet we need to be aware of the fact that this could lead to nutrient deficiencies which is what's so interesting to me about eating an animal based
we can imagine what's happening when somebody is on a Whole Foods plant-based AKA vegan diet they're not getting these nutrients and they see hair loss whether this is telogen effluvium or potentially even alopecia areata or it's worsening androgenic alopecia we don't know exactly what the diagnosis is but there are tons and tons of anecdotes of people losing hair on vegan diets and we can tell why because the nutrients found predominantly in bioavailable forms and animal foods help with hair regrowth hair maintenance hair health and you don't get that on a vegan diet
