it is very clear that humans need some omega-6 and some omega-3 in our diets I think the optimal amount is far from delineated I think it's very clear that getting zero omega 3 or 0 Omega 6 is a bad thing you cannot make these going back to the plant discussion it's very clear that we can't make EPA or DHA from the alpha linolenic acid which is the omega-3 and flax seeds but I think people can over consume Omega 3 in that we know that overconsumption of Omega 3 can change clotting parameters in the blood etc etc
