the interesting thing about copper and zinc these are two divalent cations so they're positively charged minerals they have a plus two charge copper and zinc have the same protein in the gut that binds them and moves them out of the body it's a metallothionein protein so if you're getting zinc in meat it's you're not going to get copper overload it's very hard to get copper overload because the copper and the zinc are going to bind to the metallothione it's going to get passed out of the body your body regulates this pretty easily
