Not widely appreciated is the fact that resveratrol extended the lifespan of mice, not only on a high fat diet, but also on a standard diet when fed to the mice every other day (EOD).
In fact in mice, resveratrol goven every other day with food worked the best to extend lifespan on a standard chow diet. (Pearson et al., Cell Metabolism, 2008).
we put mice on resveratrol uh you know we became known for that in uh the early 2000s it was resertal worked best when we gave it to the mice every other day and when we fed them every other day okay and if we gave it to them every day in the food it didn't work as nearly as well as this other regime

in thin mice they also were healthier they had better cardiovascular system less cancer a whole variety of things that were exciting it didn't reach statistical significance when they ate resveratrol every day but if we gave it to them in their diet every other day we saw a lifespan extension

well it depends when you start the diet it was extensive it was 20 30 % I know how you count it and the dose roughly was what we did two different doses they both worked one was 24 mix but Katie Nolan was 240 MiG's per kick it's a big difference that's a 10x difference Yeah right and the low dose was just as effective
although i i believe you had a small statistically significant increase in maximum extension and maximum lifestyle expansion in the late onset resveratrol by three percent does that sound about right i don't think any of them were significant again i'd have i don't want to put my hand in the bible until i've reread the paper but i i think there was no change in any of the statistics
and had no effect on longevity and we were i think the first of three or four groups including sinclair and decabo later on to show that resveratrol given to mice on a normal diet does not extend their lifespan
you in cohort 3 you started at 12 months of age so functionally these are mice in their 30s to 40s and then you had a cohort that started at four months of age you're starting these you know in teenagers no change in median or maximum lifespan
