so a stroke is like a heart attack of the brain um it involves disruption of blood flow to the brain either in the form of a blocked vessel or less likely a hemorrhage about 87% of Strokes are due to uh a clot either forming in the brain artery itself or forming uh closer to the heart in the heart or in the cored artery and dislodging and blocking blood flow to the brain about 133% are caused by a hemorrhage Bur thing of a blood vessel and that results in lack of oxygen and glucose being delivered to the brain cells and that ultimately causes death of tissue and disruption of bodily functions neurologic function that's what a stroke is
