contrary to what most people think, women have more testosterone than they do estrogen. That’s right, when blood work is adjusted for units this is clearly the case in healthy women.
The evidence is convergent. Multiple independent sources reach the same conclusion, the underlying mechanism is well-characterized, and even the field's most cautious voices treat it as worth doing.

Every Sunday: the week’s new conflicts and verdict changes — and nothing else.
Native comments, Twitter mentions, and Reddit threads about this claim — surfaced together so the conversation isn't fragmented across platforms.
Bookmarking — the dossier-vs-overview split is the right call. Most of the time I want overview; sometimes I want receipts.
Would love a "what would change this verdict" RSS feed. Sign me up if it exists.
So if you look at the total amount of testosterone, women actually have, almost all women, not all women, but almost all of them have significantly more testosterone than estradiol, but it's because it's in different measurements. So estradiol, a lot of time is picograms per mil as opposed to nanograms per deciliter.
in women uh they actually have more adult women have more testosterone than they do estrogen if you look at a pure nanogram per deciliter comparison it's just that overall it tends to be on average less than in men
So women have more testosterone than estrogen and significantly more DHEA than either.
If you normalize those to the same level, women are shocked to learn that they have 10 times the amount of testosterone in their body that they do estradile at peak estradile.

The reference range I believe for it's going to depend on the lab of course but in general I believe lab corp is 15 to 70 nanogs per deciliter so like the rough equivalent of you know a bit less than maybe like onetenth that of men.
