I think that a lot of times people are trying to make assumptions about need for butyric acid producing organisms and these are often I think premature because if we seem as we've seen from some of these studies we continue to produce short chain fatty acids on protein and fat based animal diets it's just we may produce less butyric acid and more IC butyric acid or more appropriate ik acid or more of the other short chain fatty acids
