healthy, insulin sensitive humans consistently show fasting insulin levels <5 uIU/ml and commonly <3 uIU/ml.
The evidence is convergent. Multiple independent sources reach the same conclusion, the underlying mechanism is well-characterized, and even the field's most cautious voices treat it as worth doing.

Every Sunday: the week’s new conflicts and verdict changes — and nothing else.
Native comments, Twitter mentions, and Reddit threads about this claim — surfaced together so the conversation isn't fragmented across platforms.
Bookmarking — the dossier-vs-overview split is the right call. Most of the time I want overview; sometimes I want receipts.

the reason I like seeing the reason I like pointing to low triglycerides and high HDL is it's a loose proxy for insulin sensitivity and typically just hypo insulin emia there's just low levels of insulin in the blood
their blood pressure is low their fasting insulin is low what do we go for fasting insulin like what kind of levels do you see like usually five or less yeah three I've seen yeah absolutely I've seen many they have like one or two
the very basic how to know if you're insulin sensitive is to get a fasting insulin which should be less than 5 micro iu per ml

if your ldl goes from 120 to 180 but you're fasting insulin which is the best measure of insulin sensitivity remains low less than 5 micro iu per ml or i would prefer it even less than three micro io per ml i'm going to show you guys all my blood work in a couple weeks then you're insulin sensitive how do you know you're insulin sensitive as well your triglycerides will be low less than 100 probably less than 80 your hdl will be high probably less than 70.
why do we believe ldl is a problem in the setting of insulin sensitivity that is the main debate i have with mainstream medicine
how do you know you're insulin sensitive as well your triglycerides will be low less than 100 probably less than 80 your hdl will
your hdl will be high probably less than 70.

if you are insulin sensitive meaning in my opinion in a fasting insulin of less than five preferably less than three none of this really matters
if you are insulin sensitive you must get that fasting insulin but how many of these doctors who are worried about your slightly elevated or moderately elevated ldl on an animal-based diet are getting a fasting insulin i think all too few unfortunately
one way you can tell that you're insulin sensitive one proxy is a high hdl and low triglycerides
what is consistent on my blood work is that I am insulin sensitive a fasting incident of less than three any doctor nurse practitioner PA clinician that looks at your lipids but doesn't get any fasting insulin is missing the context is missing the context and I will say that strongly over and over if any physician looks at your LDL and tells you it's too high without looking at your insulin sensitivity they are missing the boat so you must interpret lipids in the context of insulin sensitivity
