Many people are not getting enough magnesium.
The evidence is convergent. Multiple independent sources reach the same conclusion, the underlying mechanism is well-characterized, and even the field's most cautious voices treat it as worth doing.
Many people are not getting enough magnesium.
Every Sunday: the week’s new conflicts and verdict changes — and nothing else.
Native comments, Twitter mentions, and Reddit threads about this claim — surfaced together so the conversation isn't fragmented across platforms.
Bookmarking — the dossier-vs-overview split is the right call. Most of the time I want overview; sometimes I want receipts.

Basically, what does the 40% insufficiency in the US tell us? People aren't eating their greens. They're not eating their greens. They're eating their packaged food. They're eating their processed food. The standard American diet isn't really high in dark, leafy greens.
I do think magnesium is important in there as well. I mean, I think, again, about 40% of the US population doesn't get enough magnesium.
50 something percent are magnesium deficient
on average probably 50 percent of the US population is magnesium deficient to some degree
Approximately 50% of the US population does not have adequate magnesium intake.
Nearly half the U.S. doesn't get enough magnesium.
Approximately 50% of the US population does not have adequate magnesium intake making this a "low-hanging fruit" to improve health.
Nearly half of the US population has inadequate magnesium levels
It's crucial to note that nearly 50% of the U.S. population does not get adequate magnesium from their diet.
Over half of Americans aren't getting enough.
I mentioned to you that over half of the US population is deficient in this essential mineral
About 50% of the US population does not basically get adequate intake of magnesium.
it's widespread inadequacy here about half the US population has inadequate levels of magnesium
it's somewhere like 400 milligrams a day for men and somewhere like 300 to 350 or something like that for women um if you're athletic if you're sweating if you're you know Physically Active a lot use the sauna um you actually can require anywhere between 10 to 20% above the RDA because you do lose magnesium through sweat so if half the US population isn't meaning even that our da then you can imagine the Physically Active people are probably you know fairing even worse because they're already their requirements are even higher
so as it turns out individuals who suffer from migraines are often found to be deficient or have insufficient magnesium now this might not be entirely surprising when we consider that nearly half the US population doesn't get enough magnesium in their diet
So for women it's about 320 milligrams per day. For men about 420 milligs per day and so people aren't meeting that requirement and so they're considered to be getting insufficient magnesium.
Half the population is not doing that because it's essentially found in dark leafy greens. So supplementation is another way to get it.
