A few days before traveling, begin taking melatonin at 2 pm
The evidence is convergent. Multiple independent sources reach the same conclusion, the underlying mechanism is well-characterized, and even the field's most cautious voices treat it as worth doing.

Every Sunday: the week’s new conflicts and verdict changes — and nothing else.
Native comments, Twitter mentions, and Reddit threads about this claim — surfaced together so the conversation isn't fragmented across platforms.
Bookmarking — the dossier-vs-overview split is the right call. Most of the time I want overview; sometimes I want receipts.
Would love a "what would change this verdict" RSS feed. Sign me up if it exists.
Take melatonin in morning (versus at bedtime)
the melatonin thing I would stick with um I would stick with before bed like at typical bedtime right and you can even start that before you leave so you can actually take it before you leave for the whatever the destination is right and then you take melatonin at least for the first three nights
Strategic melatonin timing - A small dose of melatonin a couple of hours before you want to sleep helps signal to the brain it’s time to get ready for bed. This really helps when your internal clock thinks it is still daytime.
Take the melatonin at night to to cuz because you might still be producing some of the melatonin during your biological night, which is the environmental day, and not producing that melatonin at night when you want to be. So that's that's when you might supplement.
