Oats are the same thing. Oats have phytic acid. A lot of grains have phytic acid. So if you're thinking you're getting magnesium from things like almonds, think again. Because that magnesium is bound to phitate. It's bound to phytic acid.
The phytic acid in the oats is chelating. It's biting onto the calcium. You're not absorbing it.
