The evidence is convergent. Multiple independent sources reach the same conclusion, the underlying mechanism is well-characterized, and even the field's most cautious voices treat it as worth doing.
1g/lb for men
Every Sunday: the week’s new conflicts and verdict changes — and nothing else.
Native comments, Twitter mentions, and Reddit threads about this claim — surfaced together so the conversation isn't fragmented across platforms.
Bookmarking — the dossier-vs-overview split is the right call. Most of the time I want overview; sometimes I want receipts.
Would love a "what would change this verdict" RSS feed. Sign me up if it exists.
1g animal protein/lb goal body weight
for most people here is the metric that i think is a good baseline one gram of protein per pound of gold body weight a little less give or take 10 for most people i'm 165 170 pounds my goal body weight is just about 165 170 pounds so i eat about 170 pounds and uh 170 grams not pounds of meat per day most days i eat a little more than that i find that women have trouble getting to this one gram of protein per pound of body weight but i think that most people men and women will feel better when they do that increase bone density
i think that most people men and women will feel better when they do that increase bone density especially thinking about my 71 year old mother for this i wish she would eat more protein
I really think that one gram of protein per pound of body weight is your goal
for men I recommend multiplying gold body weight times one
in terms of protein you want to be getting about 8 to one gram of protein per pound of gold body weight
And I think that just because I'm advocating for people to eat one gram of protein per pound of body weight, and I think that that creates a lot of human health for both men and women, doesn't mean that we should say that's not sustainable until we run into that problem.
I think one gram of protein per pound of body weight is a good goal.
