caffeine has this long halflife so if you're going to indulge which I do do so early in the day beware the afternoon caffeine
And so I worry that when people are drinking coffee or caffeinated beverages of any type within 12 hours of their sleep, they're still having 12 or you know, at least 25% of the caffeine in their body physiologically. And wouldn't that affect sleep metrics and like sleep architecture?
we know that caffeine found in coffee especially this coffee that has a lot of caffeine in it has a half life of 5 hours that means that if you drink a cup of coffee with 200 milligram of caffeine in it at noon at 12:00 p.m. you could potentially have 50 milligrams a quarter of that amount of caffeine still in your body at 1 p.m. when you go to sleep that can disrupt sleep architecture for All Humans but especially those people who are sensitive to that caffeine
Caffeine has a half-life of about six or seven hours. And a half-life simply means the amount of time it takes for a 50% of the drug to still be in your system or 50% of it to be cleared. Caffeine has a quarter life of about 12 hours.
