If you have trouble with lactose consider fermented dairy options like kefir, yogurt and cheese.
The evidence is convergent. Multiple independent sources reach the same conclusion, the underlying mechanism is well-characterized, and even the field's most cautious voices treat it as worth doing.

Native comments, Twitter mentions, and Reddit threads about this claim — surfaced together so the conversation isn't fragmented across platforms.
Bookmarking — the dossier-vs-overview split is the right call. Most of the time I want overview; sometimes I want receipts.

you know i do fermented goat's milk kefir every single day or i'll do fermented cow's milk kefir every single day
If that's you, use kefir or yogurt for men your milk.
if you can't tolerate it from a lactose perspective do something like fermentation get a yogurt get a cheese or a kefir which most of that lactose is going to be broken down
if you have trouble with milk or milk products due to lactose intolerance both of these are going to have much lower lactose than milk and you'll probably be able to tolerate them
for those who are lactose intolerant using fermented dairy can be helpful because the fermentation process breaks down the lactose kefir or cheeses will have much less lactose and yogurt will have less lactose than a full fat regular Dairy that is not fermented
if you're going to do cheese I would do raw cheese like parmesan or regano or a cafir ferment it yourself
if you're really sensitive to lactose and you want to drink milk you can do cheese which is going to have most all of the lactose uh fermented out of it or you can do air which is going to have the lactose fermented out of it too
if you have lactose intolerance you're not stuck drinking plant-based milks like oat milk or almond milk just look for things that are fermented like cafir or yogurt or age cheeses
you're not stuck drinking plant-based milks like oat milk or almond milk just look for things that are fermented like cafir or yogurt or age cheeses preferably the ones that are raw
So, it's a lower fermentation for a longer amount of time and they use different bacteria so and kefir is pretty easy to digest. If you have trouble digesting lactose, kefir removes almost all of the lactose and yogurt significantly reduces the lactose in milks and in yogurts or kefir.
